New Baggu collab with outsider artist, Simone Johnson

Baggu's newest design drop is a collab with New York artist, Simone Johnson.

Three of Simone's designs have been applied to Baggu's iconic shopping bags, and Mooma is stocking all three: Beverage Cat, Produce Cat and Nature Cat.

Simone is best known for her colourful and whimsical works depicting scenes with animals, particularly cats. Her illustrations are playful and energetic, and filled with meticulous detail. Simone has been exhibiting in New York galleries and internationally at outsider art fairs since 2010. She is represented by Pure Vision Arts in Manhattan, NYC's first specialised art studio and exhibition space for self-taught artists with autism and other developmental challenges.

Simone was born in 1971 in Manhattan and currently lives in Staten Island. In addition to being an artist, Simone is a belly dancer and has performed with a dance company in Manhattan. Simone works as a part-time gallery assistant in the Pure Vision Arts studio.

Simone receives profits from every sale of her Baggu designs.
